Spend a relaxing evening outdoors at Music in the Park, a free event series filled with live entertainment, local vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly fun in the heart of Farmville. This special summer event combines live music and an outdoor movie experience, creating the perfect atmosphere for visitors of all ages to enjoy a night under the stars. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for an evening of music, community and entertainment surrounded by the beautiful museum grounds in bloom.
This featured event will include live music from William Seymour & Friends beginning at 5:30 p.m. William Seymour, a North Carolina native from Snow Hill now based in Roanoke, Virginia, blends blues, soul, and Americana influences inspired by artists like Eric Clapton, Jackson Browne and Ray LaMontagne. Following the concert, guests can enjoy a screening of the classic '90s film "Jurassic Park" on the outdoor big screen beginning at 8:30 p.m. Food trucks, beer and wine, and local vendors will be available throughout the evening, making it a fun and welcoming experience for friends, families and visitors alike.
