Live bluegrass, history and the North Carolina countryside come together at Moorefields for an afternoon that feels festive and timeless.
Join the 11th Annual Bluegrass Festival at Historic Moorefields in Hillsborough. Set on the grounds of an 1785 historic home, the festival offers space to spread a blanket, settle into a lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of music with family and friends.
The lineup runs throughout the afternoon, all included in the ticket price: Slippery Hill at 1 p.m., Pickard Mountain at 2 p.m., the Hodnett Family Band at 3 p.m. (followed by a kids' workshop), and Nixon, Williams & Gage at 4 p.m.
Moorefields is more than a backdrop. The historic house and its surrounding landscape are part of Hillsborough's heritage, and the property lets visitors experience history in a peaceful, natural setting. The festival supports preservation of the historic house and grounds.
