Highlands Heritage Jamboree brings mountain music, square dancing, barbecue and moonshine to Highlands!
The afternoon begins at with the Highlands Bagpipers, followed by the US Fleet Forces Navy Band: Four-Star Edition at 1:30 p.m. The Foxfire Boys take the stage at 3:30 p.m. with bluegrass mountain music. The celebration concludes with the Darren Nicholson Band performing from 5-7:30 p.m. Blending bluegrass, western swing, classic country, folk and gospel, the band brings an authentic mountain sound to the evening. A special guest square dance caller will everyone to join in and take part in the tradition.
Highlands Smokehouse will serve barbecue beginning at 4pm, with a moonshine tasting (for ages 21 & up) also available during the afternoon.
Held in the heart of Highlands, this community gathering celebrates mountain heritage through live music, local tradition, food and dance. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a family-friendly afternoon filled with music, food and mountain hospitality.
