The Appalachian Theatre is proud to present the 5th Annual High Country Jazz Festival. Held at the theatre and other great venues in the area, this event has so much to offer anyone who loves jazz, music and the mountains!
The festival kicks off at The Appalachian Theatre at 6:30 p.m. on June 10 with Grammy-winning saxophonist Miguel Zenón and acclaimed Venezuelan pianist Luis Perdomo. Performances continue through June 14 in venues in Boone and Blowing Rock.
See renowned artists such as Spyro Gyra, Wycliffe Gordon, Emmet Cohen Trio, and many more! Enjoy a lecture at the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum, food and drinks at area restaurants, and a free performance on the lawn at the Jones House Cultural Center in downtown Boone.
The Appalachian Theatre of the High Country is a historic Art Deco theatre built in 1938. It has been renovated and restored to a 629-seat state-of-the-art performance venue.
