Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Boone, Hgh Country Beer Fest is a celebration of quality craft beer, ciders and other brews with an emphasis on education. Sample craft beverages from more than 40 unique breweries, while contributing to educational programs that will help create better beer for years to come. You can also participate in free fermentation seminars where you can learn about fermented foods from around the world!
Breweries will give out 2 oz. samples - the only payment you make is to enter the festival. Water will be available for free.
There will be merchandise available for purchase and you can also preorder online at the website. Local vendors and food trucks will be present as well as 3 bands! This year’s bands are Possum Jenkins, Hellbender and Carolina Reapers!
Transportation: Shuttles are available from Appalachian State's Peacock parking lot (416 Howard St, Boone, NC 28607) to the fairgrounds from 1:15 to 3:30 pm. Shuttles will return to the Peacock parking lot from the festival from 6:30 until the end of the festival. The La Quinta Inn will also have a shuttle to and from the festival for hotel guests. Parking is available on-site and vehicles may be left overnight. Uber & taxi services are very limited - please plan ahead for responsible transportation.
