Step into Halifax County’s agricultural past during Halifax County Harvest Days.
See antique tractors, an old-fashioned sawmill, a working peanut thresher and restored equipment once used to cultivate and harvest tobacco, cotton and peanuts. Tour the historic Rosenwald School, an early 1900s farmhouse and the Halifax County Agricultural Museum, then take a wagon ride and browse entries in the arts, photography and canning competitions.
Colonial encampments and live reenactments will commemorate America’s 250th anniversary and Halifax County’s connections to the nation’s history. Visitors can also enjoy live music at the outdoor amphitheater, shop food, arts & crafts vendors and sample homemade baked goods, local preserves, collards, stew and other regional favorites.
