Celebrate the monarch butterfly’s remarkable migration at Gorges State Park's visitor center. This free, rain-or-shine event offers an up-close look at the monarchs as they travel along their migratory route to Mexico.
Morning and afternoon presentations feature experts sharing insights on monarchs, pollinators and conservation. Families can also enjoy guided butterfly hikes, face painting, children’s activities, monarch-themed crafts and interactive exhibitor booths throughout the day. Live butterflies will be featured in the afternoon.
Guests can complete the Monarch Migration Passport Program — seek and find all the monarch-themed challenges to win prizes. Enjoy food from local vendors and shop for festival merchandise. Come learn about the monarch’s journey and discover ways to help protect these iconic pollinators.
