Join the Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival for a captivating program that brings together four distinctive voices in chamber music. Experience works by two of the genre’s most revered composers, Joseph Haydn and Johannes Brahms, alongside unexpected chamber works by opera legends Giacomo Puccini and Giuseppe Verdi.
Haydn’s String Quartet in F Major, Op. 77, No. 2 moves from grand and elegant to quirky and rustic, while Puccini’s haunting Crisantemi offers a beautiful contrast to the lively Prestissimo from Verdi’s String Quartet in E Minor. The program concludes with Brahms’s powerful Piano Quintet in F Minor, one of the composer’s most celebrated chamber works. The Cooperstown Quartet, violinists Ara Gregorian and Hye-Jin Kim, violist Maria Lambros, and cellist Michael Kannen are joined by pianist Rieko Aizawa for this unique evening of world-class chamber music.
