Now in its twenty-seventh season, the Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival’s 2026–2027 Signature Series culminates with a thrilling program connecting three generations of composers. Experience Beethoven’s beloved “Gassenhauer Trio,” Brahms’s Clarinet Trio in A Minor, and Walter Rabl’s Piano Quartet—three remarkable works linked by musical influence, innovation, and a shared love of chamber music.
Beethoven’s trio, originally composed for clarinet, piano, and cello, will be performed here in the composer’s arrangement featuring violin. Two generations later, Brahms followed with his own Clarinet Trio, while Rabl’s Piano Quartet earned first prize in a competition judged by Brahms himself. Clarinetist Alan Kay, pianist Adam Neiman, violinist Ara Gregorian, and cellist Marcy Rosen bring these three generations of musical connection to life in a captivating finale to another season of world-class chamber music.
