Eastern Festival of Music is a five-week summer music festival featuring a professional orchestra in residence and two student orchestras. Concerts take place nightly June 30-Aug. 1 at the acoustically designed Dana Auditorium on the Guilford College campus in Greensboro.

The internationally recognized music director is Gerard Schwarz, conductor emeritus of the Seattle Symphony and music director of the Palm Beach Symphony and the All-Star Orchestra. He is also a professor at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Guest artists include violinists Pinchas Zukerman, Leonidas Kavakos and Herbert Greenberg, as well as pianist Misha Dichter.

More than 225 students are coming to the festival from across the nation and around the world to be taught by faculty and perform challenging repertoire in their orchestras and chamber music groups. Master classes are led by soloists and faculty. Don’t miss the following performances:
