Watch art take shape at Colorfest! Arts & Crafts, a free fall festival in downtown Dillsboro. More than 40 local artists will line Front Street to demonstrate pottery, fiber arts, woodwork, jewelry, painting and other handmade crafts. Meet the makers, browse one-of-a-kind pieces and enjoy live entertainment throughout the afternoon.
Continue exploring Dillsboro’s walkable galleries, cooperatives and restaurants, where additional regional art and local flavors are only steps from the festival. Stop for handmade chocolates and fudge at Dillsboro Chocolate Factory or sit down for barbecue at Haywood Smokehouse. The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad’s Tuckasegee River Excursion is also scheduled to arrive in town during the festival, adding a memorable rail-side moment to the day.
