Join us for a full day of bluegrass music, workshops and coming together a kindred spirits.

We are excited to offer two special workshops beginning at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is required, so visit the event's Facebook page to register. Each workshop is $40 per person, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Scottish Rite Masons Foundation.
Jam Skills & Technique Workshop: Susan West and Leslie Dare will lead an all-levels workshop focused on improving jam skills, timing, technique, and confidence in group playing.
Advanced Flat-Picking Workshop: Andrew Childress will lead an advanced flat-picking workshop for players looking to elevate their guitar skills. Think fast runs, clean technique, and high-energy picking in the style of Billy Strings. Andrew is an active-duty Navy musician based in Jacksonville and an exceptionally talented guitarist.

Music kicks off around 1 p.m. Each band is scheduled for approximately 45 minutes, with time between sets for changeovers and a little bluegrass fellowship.
1: p.m. - Brewery 99’ers: A collection of talented local musicians made up of many of the regulars from Brewery 99's monthly jams.
2 p.m. - Lonesome Tide Drifters: A bluegrass trio from Surf City featuring two musicians who regularly jam at Brewery 99.
3 p.m. - Billy and the Kids: A family bluegrass band from Richlands, Billy and his four children perform throughout the Southeast bringing traditional bluegrass and family harmonies to audiences across the region.
4 p.m. - Andrew Childress and Band: After teaching the morning workshop, Andrew and his bandmates from the Jacksonville area will take the stage for an afternoon set full of impressive picking and musicianship.
5 p.m. - Mac and Mary McCoy: A husband-and-wife duo from New Bern will be joined by a talented backing band. Mac is well known throughout the area for his bluegrass performances and vocals.

Once the scheduled performances wrap up, most will likely keep the instruments out for an informal jam session – or at the very least sit around, enjoy a beer and celebrate a great day of music and community together.

All proceeds raised before and during the event – with one exception – will be donated to the Scottish Rite Masons Foundation on behalf of the RiteCare Scottish Rite Childhood Language Program.
