Potters from Seagrove, Asheville, Lenoir and McDowell County fill McDowell High School with nothing but clay, from traditional Appalachian jugs and jars to sculptural jewelry and raku, a fast firing technique that gives each piece a one-of-a-kind finish.
Meet the makers, ask how a piece came to life and find a holiday gift you won’t see anywhere else. Enter the raffle for a piece from a well-known potter, listen to live music from Don Hogan and other local musicians and let the kids paint a ceramic ornament to take home.
We will have Coffee from Bigfoot Books & Brews, sourdough from BSide Bakery & Books, and freshly made soups from The Parlor Car to keep you fueled while you shop.
This year, the first ten individuals to support MACA with a $100 donation will receive a "Golden Ticket" -allowing them to shop one hour earlier than regular ticket attendees. All admission and Golden Ticket donations support the McDowell Arts Council Association and arts in McDowell County, NC.
