The American Legion World Series brings together the best youth baseball players in the country for six days of championship competition at Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium - one of the most celebrated venues in amateur baseball.
One of only four national youth baseball championships in the United States, the ALWS has called Shelby its permanent home since 2011. Each August, eight regional champions from across the country compete in front of tens of thousands of fans, with semifinals and the championship game airing live on ESPNU.
