The 43rd Annual Mountain Glory Festival will take place in historic downtown Marion. This beloved street festival celebrates the arrival of autumn in the Blue Ridge Mountains and highlights Appalachian culture and small-town living.
Spanning three jam-packed city blocks, the festival features more than 150 booths showcasing regional handicrafts, specialty food and local arts. Marion's downtown shops, restaurants and bars will also be open throughout the day. Attendees can enjoy live music on two stages, explore the Mountain Glory Quilt Show at the McDowell Arts Council and visit Kid's Korner for family-friendly activities. Don't miss the popular Best-Dressed Pet Contest or a potential appearance by Marion's mascot, Bigfoot.
Free shuttle service will run every half hour from Marion City Square plaza parking lot (500 N. Main St.) to the festival site (8 N. Main St.). Handicap parking will be available at Marion's Community Building (191 N. Main St.).
