One of the largest one-day street festivals in the southeast, celebrating and serving one style of barbecue: Lexington-style! The festival features more than 200 juried art & craft exhibitors, a 50-ton pig-themed sand sculpture, antique car cruise-in featuring up to 65 antique and special interest cars and trucks, and a variety of many other special attractions! With seven stages for live entertainment, check the website for the performance schedule.
The Kidzone has special activities just for the young ones. They can enjoy the children's stage, inflatables and games, and rock climbing wall. It also includes a 73-ft. Everest Obstacle Course, 22-ft. slide, several popular bounce houses, ax throwing, and other games for all ages to enjoy.
"Ed's Dinosaurs Live" is a fun, family-friendly, interactive show for kids of all ages. Singing, dancing dinosaurs - and if the kids aren't careful, they just might learn something.
Plan to stop by the Barbecue Festival's Cork & Craft Hospitality Garden. Admission includes a commemorative glass to sample products from Childress Vineyards, Curran Alexander, Bull City Ciderworks, End of Days Distillery, Williamson Brewing, and Floating Goat Brewery. King BMX will once again add to the festival excitement by performing four 30-minute bicycle shows.
