17th Annual Southport Wooden Boat Show

Expert boat craft is on display at the 17th Annual Southport Wooden Boat Show in downtown Southport. Considered a signature fall event along the North Carolina coast, the Southport Wooden Boat Show is a celebration of craftsmanship and the maritime history that shaped Southport's legacy as a Revolutionary Era fishing and shipping town along the Cape Fear River into the modern-day coastal town we know today. Featuring in-water boat displays, nautical themed local vendors, live boatbuilding displays from Cape Fear Community College, and activities for kids including rope making and arts and crafts boat building, this festival is fun for visitors of all ages.
