Hart Square - 1840s Carolina Village

  • Catawba Historial Association

Currently sold out for 2015. Please check back our website for 2016 dates and tickets.

Hart Square is a village of 200 acres that has been reconstructed with original log buildings, giving it the true appearance of life of Catawba County settlers during the early 19th century. Celebrate Colonial Life Day and watch live re-enactments from craftsmen and artisans demonstrating life in the 1840s. The 200 acres are totally fenced in, protecting the fallow deer herd on the property, and there are five ponds with ducks and geese. Visitors from across the country attend the one-day event.
Tickets go on sale (9:00 am) on the 1st of October. They may be purchased in person at the Catawba County Museum of History in Newton or over the phone, with a credit card. Directions are included with the tickets, which we'll mail to you.

Admission: Limited number of tickets sold in advance only and will sell out early so check website for details.
