Featuring demonstrations and colonial vendors in authentic dress in a colonial-style fort. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for kids 6-10 and under 6 free.
Come out to Davidson’s Fort to witness a snapshot of the American Revolution! Talk to craftspeople as they ply their trade, watch the soldiers drill, and discuss with the civilians about what it was like to live in the 18th Century. The reconstructed Fort is designed to educate and highlight the history of McDowell County at the head of the Catawba River during the late 1700’s.

Admission: $5/adults; $2 children6-10 years; children under 6, free

Special Directions:

Exit 73, off I-40. From the east, turn right; from the west, turn left and head downtown. At the Arrowhead monument in the center of town, turn right. Continue through town to a right on Lackey Town Road (the first right after the Dollar General). Cross the RR tracks and take a left just past Janesville.
