Organized by the Women’s Fellowship of Home Moravian Church, Candle Tea is regarded by many as the opening event of the Christmas season in Winston-Salem. Guests are greeted by costume-clad volunteers and led on a tour of the Single Brothers House where they may sing carols, observe beeswax candles being made by hand, enjoy a generous slice of Moravian sugar cake and a warm cup of Moravian coffee, then view the Putz-a snowy street scene of Salem around 1900, complete with miniature figures and buildings built to scale. Lastly, guests visit a nativity scene. Please check the website for times and admission.
