Celebrating the Uwharries and the People of the Uwharries! The Uwharrie Mountain Festival is held annually on the 2nd Saturday of October in the Uwharrie National Forest, near the Eldorado Community of Montgomery County. Many activities take place at King’s Mountain Point in the Badin Lake Recreation Area OR at nearby Eldorado Outpost. There is so much to do that the entire family can enjoy - check out our website for more information.

Special Directions:

From Troy: Take NC Hwy 109 North about 10 miles north towards the Eldorado Community. Once you cross the Uwharrie River be aware that you are getting close. The Eldorado Outpost is located on the left. Parking is available at the Outpost where you will be able to board a shuttle to the Badin Lake Recreation Area.
