28th Annual North Carolina Watermelon Festival

  • Kay Thomas

This year we are celebrating our 28th anniversary of the Watermelon Festival! Be sure to come out and be a part of the festivities. More than 40,000 people participate in this four-day event which includes amusement rides, crafts fair, delicious food, large parade, 5K run, street dances each night, and lots of watermelon. Contests include watermelon eating and seed spitting. Event schedule varies so please contact us or visit our website. The festival and nightly street dances will be held in the Murfreesboro Historic District, one block north of Main Street.
