To celebrate Tommy’s life and music, the Tommy Jarrell Festival was created in 2002 to commemorate this accomplished old-time musician. Dances, music, concerts, and workshops are held during the last weekend of February each year – just before Tommy’s March 1st birthday. The Tommy Jarrell Festival activities are centered in the Earle Theatre.

Admission: Festival Tickets $15 for every event Birthday Concert Tickets $10

EARLE THEATRE
Exit 100 to Highway 89 East into Mount Airy. Turn LEFT at the traffic light onto Graves Street (at Moody’s
Funeral Home). Free parking is available at the Municipal Lot on the right and you can walk to Main Street or
for on-street parallel parking on Main Street, continue past the lot and turn RIGHT on Franklin Street and
RIGHT at the light on Main Street. The Earle Theatre will be on your left.

From I-74
EARLE THEATRE
Take Exit 11 to Highway 601 into Mount Airy. Hwy 601 turns into Rockford Street. Turn LEFT on Graves
Street (just past the Andy Griffith Playhouse). Go straight at the light at the bottom of the hill and free parking
is available at the Municipal Lot on the right where you can walk to Main Street or for on-street parallel
parking on Main Street, continue past the lot and turn RIGHT on Franklin Street and RIGHT at the light on
Main Street. The Earle Theatre will be on your left.

From Highway 52 North (Virginia)
EARLE THEATRE
Take the Andy Griffith Parkway (Hwy 52) to the traffic light at Highway 601/Rockford Street (just past the
Lowe’s and Food Lion Shopping Center). Turn LEFT onto Rockford Street and turn LEFT on Graves Street
(just past the Andy Griffith Playhouse). Go straight at the light at the bottom of the hill and free parking is
available at the Municipal Lot on the right where you can walk to Main Street or for on-street parallel parking
on Main Street, continue past the lot and turn RIGHT on Franklin Street and RIGHT at the light on Main
Street. The Earle Theatre will be on your left.

From Highway 52 South (Winston-Salem)

EARLE THEATRE
Take the Andy Griffith Parkway (Hwy 52) to the traffic light at Highway 601/Rockford Street (just after you
cross Lovells Creek). Turn RIGHT onto Rockford Street and turn LEFT on Graves Street (just past the Andy
Griffith Playhouse). Go straight at the light at the bottom of the hill and free parking is available at the
