The Avery County Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center is conveniently located in the Shoppes at Tynecastle at the intersection of NC Highway 105 and NC Highway 184 in Banner Elk. The center offers travelers information on lodging, dining, attractions, shopping and other business in Avery County. The friendly, knowledgeable staff is on duty Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
