The Wheels Through Time Museum is an attraction not to be missed by motorcycle enthusiasts. This museum is home to more than 300 all-American rare and historic motorcycles as well as many exhibits, artifacts, memorabilia and photos. Just five miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway in Maggie Valley, it makes for a perfect pit stop.

Maggie Valley in Western North Carolina is an area known for making motorcyclists feel welcome. While the twisting mountain roads are reason enough to visit, it also hosts the Thunder in the Smokies Rally each spring and fall. Thousands of bikers visit for this event that features a tour ride, bike show, live music and more.

Several mountain areas have earned a reputation for challenging even the most adventurous riders. Deals Gap is a part of Route 129 frequented by motorcyclists, especially for the Tail of the Dragon. The Tail of the Dragon borders the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and curves sharply 318 times in just 11 miles. It has been featured on Good Morning America and in numerous motorcycle magazines.
